He attended the Centerville Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the American Legion and the Druids Lodge. Verne enjoyed hunting, especially turtle hunting, and trapping. Louisville on Sept. 17, 1936 to Price and Helen Little Harvey. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and lived most of her younger life in this area. In 1959 she married Ray Gruntman from Centerville, S.D.In 1965 they moved to St. Louis where they raised their three children and lived until their retirement.  They then moved to their current home in Cottleville.  Joyce’s roots to Bowling Green remained strong and with family and close friends here she came back for frequent visits until her recent illness.Mrs. Gruntman died at her home in Cottleville after a long battle with cancer.She is survived by her husband of 53 years; a daughter, Joni and husband, Duane of St. Charles, two sons, Jeff Gruntman of St. Ann and Jerry Gruntman...

Montana College in Havre in 1949, then went back to college and earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1971. Mavis began her teaching career in Belt in 1949, then taught in Centerville and Great Falls. She completed her career in Cascade for a total of 34 years.She married Paul “Dude” Darko on Jan. 2, 1951, in Belt, where they began their married life and raised four children. Mavis substitute taught in Belt while her children were young, and was a USPS clerk during that time.
