Corrections: October 2 - New York Times

Sun, Oct 2, 2011
Swiss immigrants, misidentified the nationality of Andreas Hofer, whose arrest by Napoleon’s soldiers in the early 19th century is depicted in a mural in Puempel’s Olde Tavern. Hofer was Tirolean, not Swiss. REAL ESTATE Because of an editing error, the “Big Ticket” item last Sunday misstated the amount made by Scott A. Bommer, the founder of the hedge fund SAB Capital, and his wife, Donya, on the sale of an apartment at the Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South. They made $1.5 million — not $30 million, the price of the sale. • An article last Sunday about new condominiums that are about to open in New York City described incorrectly the residences at One57, a 90-story mixed-use tower on West 57th Street being built by the Extell Development Company. There will be 40 rental units starting on the 32nd floor and 95 condominium units starting on the 39th floor. Not all the residences will be condominiums. (There will be a hotel below the 32nd floor.) AUTOMOBILES A review last Sunday about the 2012 Honda Civic referred incorrectly to the engine of a competing model, the Hyundai Elantra. Like the Civic, its engine does not have direct injection of fuel. MAGAZINE The Riff column on Sept. 18, about nonprolific novelists, misspelled the surname of an artist who was mentioned as one whose work “drips rather than flows.” He was Jackson Pollock, not Pollack.
