A native of Buffalo and lifelong resident of Lancaster, Mr. Sauka retired in 1989 after a career in the automobile business. He worked on auto body repairs and painting at Cerullo Motors in Depew in the 1950s and 1960s, and as a salesman at Angert’s Auto Parts in Buffalo in the 1970s and at Al-Wil Auto Finishing in Elma in the 1980s. Mr. Sauka attended Lancaster High School and served as a private first class in the infantry in North Africa and Italy during World War II.
