Cenneidigh Dodge SLS in West Concord.Melvin L. Hindrickson was born Jan. 8, 1933, to Mike and Minnie (Hoeck) Hindrickson in Swea City, Iowa. The family moved to Minnesota in 1940. Melvin moved to Faribault in 1972, Waterville in 1984, and to West Concord in 1995. Melvin worked as a farm hand at Welsh Farms. He loved to pick eggs and feed the baby calves and lambs.Melvin is survived by one sister, Helen Delano, of Hayfield; three nieces and two nephews. He graduated from Faribault High School. He was united in marriage to Susan Fjerstad and later divorced. She coached girls basketball, boys tennis and girls fastpitch softball.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and an active advocate for pancreatic cancer awareness. Kimi had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time at the cabin.
