Bill is survived by daughters Pamela Simpson of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Nikki VanVelzer and Karol Watts of Albany; sisters Barbara Preacher of El Dorado, Calif., and Jewel Densmore of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Vivian (Steven), Dunwoody, Georgia, Jody M. Hugugenel, New Orleans, Louisiana, Shelby A. Haskett, Muncie, Indiana, and four great nieces. She was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Holton, Kan., to Frank and Lillian Thornton Durr. She married Harold Norberg on Jan. 9, 1942, in Carson City, Nev. He died June 2, 2006. She held a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oregon. She worked for the Beaverton School District. Survivors include two daughters, Nena Lovinger of Fall Creek and Kristine Bowerman of Eugene; two sons, Ron of Eugene and Russ of Springfield; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Andreason’s in Springfield. John Stewart CRESWELL — A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at the EAA building at the Creswell Airport for John Stewart of Cres­well, who died Sept. 26 at age 67. The family chose not to list the cause of death. He was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Knox City, Texas, to Alvin and Ethel Huddle­ston Stewart. He married Patricia Beshears on Feb. 28, 1975, in Springfield. She died July 15, 1998. He married Lynda Larson on May 18, 2002, in Creswell. He graduated from high school in Munday, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He drove tankers for Chevron Oil Company for many years and retired in 1999. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laurie Hodson of Lacey, Wash., and Sonja Ordonez of Salem; two stepdaughters, Jodi Williams of Tucson, Ariz., and Traci Bell of Springfield; two brothers, Donnie of Florida and David of California; a sister, Judy Stewart of Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.
