Dorothy B. Swanson — Rochester

Everett worked as an accountant. They lived in various places, including Aurora, Ill., until the mid-1950s. They then moved to Rochester, until 1977, when they semi-retired to Hemet, Calif., and finally retiring to Stromsburg on April 7, 1998. Everett passed away July 12, 2001. Dorothy later moved to Rochester, to live with her son David, where she resided until her passing.Dorothy was a Bible teacher, Sunday school teacher, Child Evangelism worker and a Women's Retreat speaker.Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Raymond) Nelson of Stromsburg, Neb., and David (Susan) Swanson of Rochester; son-in-law, Bill Mosso of St. Paul; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one brother, Jim Camenisch of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Everett Swanson; one daughter, Dorothy C. Mosso; her parents, Adolph and Bertha Camenisch; one brother, Harold Camenisch; and one sister, Doris Walz. (Post Bulletin)

Mervin R. ‘Bud' Greenman

Joiners of America Local 1273, and past member of the Springfield Elks Lodge. He enjoyed snowbirding, fishing and working in his carpenters shop. Bud is survived by his daughters, Sharon Pride of Hemet, Calif., and Colleen Greenman of Bend; son Larry Greenman of Walton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Hazel Bottcher and Francis Thill. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery. A memorial service will be held later. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Contributions in his memory may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and sent in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W.
